Man charged in fatal beating of businesswoman at Harrisburg Hilton had violent past: police

A man charged in the fatal beating of a woman inside the Harrisburg Hilton shortly after he met her has a history of violent encounters, especially while intoxicated, according to court records.

Travis Collins was charged in violent outbursts against his cousin, former neighbor, and a couple in a bar in recent years. And in 2019, the mother of his child obtained a restraining order against him, telling the court about three incidents in which she says he beat, strangled or threatened to kill her.
