A woman allegedly broke into her ex-boyfriend’s house and assaulted his current girlfriend, according to Williamsport police.

Taylor M. Divel, 23, of Cogan Station, was arrested after police responded to 514 Wilson St. on June 29, according to an affidavit.

She was charged with burglary, criminal trespass, harassment., criminal mischief and disorderly conduct.

Police were informed by Kaylee Bacon that a trespass was in progress and that her boyfriend’s ex-girlfriend had broken in through her boyfriend’s house front door. She also was allegedly trying to attack her but Bacon’s boyfriend was holding Divel back while Divel tried to push through him to get to Bacon, police said.

Bacon’s boyfriend told Divel several times to leave and when she left Bacon called 911 to report the incident, police said.

Additionally, the prior day police said they responded to a disturbance involving Bacon and Divel that resulted in Bacon sustaining several minor injuries, police said.

Misdemeanor charges were filed against Divel after Bacon called police saying she was fearful she would be hurt by Divel.

The burglary resulted in damage to the door frame of the house.

Divel was arraigned on the charges and posted $25,000 bail. The case recently was waived to court before District Judge Aaroon S. Biichle.
